What is Responsible Gaming?

Online gaming should be an enjoyable form of entertainment — like watching a movie or going out for dinner with friends. Problems arise when that entertainment starts taking control away from you, rather than the other way around.

Responsible gaming means playing with awareness — knowing how much you spend, how long you play, and most importantly, knowing when to stop. It's not about not playing at all, but about playing in a way that doesn't interfere with your daily life, finances, relationships, or mental health.

At nplay, we understand that most of our members play purely for fun. But we also know that some individuals may struggle to control their gaming habits. That's why we invest in a range of tools and support systems that allow every member to set their own limits — and we will enforce those limits on your behalf.

Our approach to responsible gaming is proactive, not reactive. We don't wait for problems to arise before taking action. Instead, we build self-protection tools directly into the core of the platform so they are easy to access and use by anyone, at any time.

Important reminder: Gambling should not be seen as a way to generate income or solve financial problems. Please only play with disposable money you can afford to lose.

nplay Self-Protection Tools

All these tools are accessible directly from your account settings — free, easy, and effective immediately

Deposit Limit

Set a maximum daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit. Once the limit is set, the system will automatically reject any deposit that exceeds it. Limits can be lowered immediately, but increasing a limit requires a waiting period of 24 to 72 hours.

Loss Limit

Set the maximum amount you are willing to lose over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once the loss limit is reached, your account will be blocked from placing new bets until that period ends.

Play Time Limit

Set the maximum time you want to spend on the platform each day or each week. The system will send a reminder when you are approaching the limit, and display a notice when the limit is reached.

Session Break

Take a break from the platform for 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month, or 3 months. During the break period, you cannot log in or play. Your account balance remains safe and withdrawals can still be made while the session break is active.

Self-Exclusion

Option to exclude yourself from the platform permanently or for a minimum period of 6 months to 5 years. While self-exclusion is active, your account will be fully closed and bonuses and promotions will be suspended. Your balance will be returned once the process is complete.

Real-Time Reminders

Enable notifications to alert you every hour while you are active on the platform, remind you of the amount spent today, and warn you when you are approaching your self-set limit.

To access all the tools above, log in to your nplay account and go to Settings → Responsible Gaming. All changes will take effect immediately unless otherwise stated.

FAQ – Personal Limit Tools

Yes, but increasing your deposit limit requires a waiting period of 24 to 72 hours before it takes effect. This is a deliberate safety measure designed to give you time to reconsider before the limit is raised. Decreasing a limit, however, takes effect immediately.

Yes. A session break blocks you from logging in and playing, but withdrawal of your account balance can still be processed through our support team. Contact customer support via live chat and they will assist you in processing the withdrawal safely.

The minimum self-exclusion period at nplay is 6 months. Once self-exclusion is activated, you cannot cancel it before that period ends. This is to ensure self-exclusion is truly effective as a protection tool. You may also choose permanent self-exclusion if needed.

The balance in your account remains safe during the self-exclusion period. Your funds will not be lost or used. Once the exclusion period ends and you have completed the review process, your balance can be withdrawn or used again.

Recognise the Signs of Problem Gambling

Recognising a problem early is the most important first step

Most people experiencing gambling problems do not recognise it quickly. Unhealthy gaming habits usually develop gradually. Here are some questions to help you honestly assess your own gaming patterns:

Check if you are experiencing any of the following:

You feel the need to play with increasingly larger amounts of money to get the same excitement as before.
You have tried to stop or cut back on playing but couldn't, or feel restless and irritable when you try to do so.
You play to escape everyday problems, work stress, guilt, or depression.
You frequently return to play another day trying to win back money you lost (chasing losses).
You lie to family or friends about how much you gamble, or hide your gambling activity from them.
You borrow money, sell belongings, or use funds meant for daily necessities (rent, bills, food) to gamble.
Your relationships with family, friends, or your work performance are being affected by gambling.
If you checked two or more of the above, these are serious warning signs. Please contact the nplay support team immediately or seek professional help. You don't have to go through this alone.
Myths vs Reality
Myth
"I can stop whenever I want."
Reality
Many people think that — until they try and find it's not as easy as they thought.
Myth
"I know how to win — this isn't a problem for me."
Reality
Casino games are designed with a house edge. No strategy can change this mathematics in the long run.
Myth
"If I keep playing, my luck is bound to turn around."
Reality
Each round is independent. Previous results do not influence future outcomes.

A session break is a temporary pause from the platform for a shorter period — between 24 hours and 3 months. It is suitable if you feel you need a brief rest or are going through a temporary stressful situation. Self-exclusion, on the other hand, is a more serious and longer-term step, with a minimum of 6 months, and cannot be cancelled before the period ends. It is suitable if you genuinely want to stop gambling for an extended period of time.

No. Once self-exclusion is activated, your information is stored in our system and any attempt to register using the same details (name, phone number, email, or ID number) will be automatically blocked. This is part of our commitment to enforcing self-exclusion seriously.

Every nplay account belongs to an individual and personal limits can only be set by the account owner themselves. However, if you are concerned about a family member, you can contact our support team for guidance on how to help them, including information on available external support resources.

Early signs include playing longer or spending more than planned, feeling anxious when not playing, being dishonest about gambling activity, or using daily living expenses for gambling. Please refer to the checklist at the top of this page. If you are unsure, contact the nplay support team — they are trained to provide an initial assessment without judgement.

Yes, completely. All conversations with the nplay support team regarding responsible gaming are confidential and used solely for the purpose of helping you. This information is not shared with third parties and is not used for marketing purposes. We believe you should feel safe to speak openly about your situation.
